Nationwide Security & Building Services, Inc. has been in the security and building services business for almost 40 years. The company began in Lynwood, California by Leon Blanchard when he opened Blanchard’s Key & Bike Shop in 1963. Leon’s son, Gary, eventually went to work in the family business and became a respected locksmith. In 1983, Gary and his wife (Rhonda) bought the business from his father and Blanchard’s Lock & Safe was founded. Over the years, the Blanchard’s expanded their business to meet the needs of their growing customer base by forming two other divisions: Commercial Door Security and G&R Maintenance. As Blanchard’s reputation for "taking care of the customer by doing it right the first time" grew, so did their business grow nationally. By developing a professional network of strategic alliances around the country, creating an experienced in-house staff, and launching a state-of-the-art dispatch center, Blanchard’s was able to offer a growing menu of installation and repair services:

As the Blanchard companies continued to grow and expand their services nationwide to a larger client base, they reorganized their companies in March 1999 under what today is known as Nationwide Security & Building Services, Inc. Today, we deliver this wide range of services nationally through one simple phone call to 800.804.0059. In our dispatch center, our Customer Service Representatives receive the requests for service, enter the call into our dispatch program, verify the work requested, dispatch qualified technicians, track the call from beginning to end, verify the work, and complete the invoicing process. Our national accounts pay a flat labor rate with no mark-up charges, which equates to savings for our customers. Additionally, we offer electronic invoicing to help reduce the processing costs for our customers.
